a stoner breakfast creation

OK so I'm going to have to credit my roommate for creating this excellent stoner dish. We were very hung over from a long night of drinking and our morning bong session resulted in some unusual waffles.

You need:
*Typical grocery-store frozen waffles, blueberry is best in my oppinion but to each his own.
*Bacon. The real, thick sliced bacon that in no way resembles the cardboard texture of turkey bacon. 2 slices per waffle.
*Avocado. One per about 4 waffles.
*Maple syrup. If you don't have pure cane syrup you don't know what you're missin'.
*Just a little bit of butter or marg.

Cook the bacon, toast the waffles. Slice the avocado first in half, then into 1/4" thick slices while intact. Remove slices with a spoon. Put your syrup in a mug with some butter and microwave for 20 sec or so. Stir it up and maybe put back into the microwave for another couple secs. Just long enought to melt the butter.

Ready for this? Waffle, then syrup then bacon then syrup then avocado slices. Pure brilliance.

If I were you I would go to the store now because this is just as good at night as it is in the morning.

There used to be a restaurant in Berkeley CA that had an item on it's menu called an Alan Sandwich, but was very similar to this. The biggest difference I remember was that instead of avocado, it had cheddar cheese and an egg I think?

By the way, cane syrup has no place in a bottle of pure maple syrup. Two different animals. But both quite tasty! And much better than corn syrup. :)

this is totally weird, and clever. I may try it with fake bacon...
was there a train of thought that resulted in this? I'm curious if you have a progressive story to go along with it...or if he just threw it together and discovered that it tasted good.
