I make my own version of the elvis sammich ! ! !
Basically you take two pieces of bread of your choice......on one piece you put peanut butter, the other piece you put jelly or jam, sprinkle a small amount of red pepper(trust me, and the king), then put a slice of american cheese, and finally sliced ripe banana.....jam it together nice and tight, get a skillet out, and saute the sandwich in one tablespoon of butter per side. Cook the thing on med-med/low heat until golden on each side, apply pressure constantly to help melt the cheese. this sandwich is unbelievably good ! ! ! !
drink with milk or soy milk, or beer.........meat eaters add slices of crisp bacon for the "BEST SANDWICH IN THE WORLD"....................much love ya'll............

Tue, April 17, 2007 - 7:00 PMi can vouch for the pb, j, bacon and bananna. i haven't had this with cheese, but everything's better with cheese. i would definately file under "stone", though tweakers may also benefit.
